Hewlett Packard (HP) Technology for Teaching grants are designed "to support innovative and effective uses of technology in the classroom setting." In 2005, HP will award grants valued at $30,000 to approximately 75 K-12 public schools that are using a collaborative, team-based approach to implement technology integration projects. The activities of the grant project must be focused on using technology to teach, rather than on teaching students to use technology. School teams applying for this grant must consist of 5 certified teachers that will work together to support the goals of their proposed technology integration project. Each member of the winning teams will receive an HP Tablet PC, an HP multimedia projector, an HP digital camera, a $500 stipend, and professional development opportunities. In addition, the team will share use of an HP all-in-one printer/copier/scanner machine. Application deadline: February 15, 2005
