Speedy and Tarah are 2 of my students who have received magnifiers and a monocular. Here are their rules for taking care of them
Speedy and Tarah’s Rules for V.I. Goodies
1. Monoculars and Magnifiers are not toys. Don’t play with them and don’t let others play with them.
2. When [classroom teacher] has a place to put them, always put them up when they are not being used.
3. Do not take them home.
4. Keep the lens covers on the monocular and put it in the case.
5. Take the small magnifiers and monocular on field trips only when [classroom teacher] thinks it’s a good idea.
6. Use cloth to clean them The monocular has its own cleaning cloth.
7. Keep your hands clean and off the lens and you will be able to see better with the magnifier and the monocular.
