Post biographies of famous people with visual impairments or tell us of inspiring people in your community. If you should get your info from another source, please give credit to that source. Meanwhile, take a test on 10 famous people at www.funtrivia.com/playquiz.cfm?qid=142895&origin= When you visit this particular site, please join me in asking the creator to replace the term "deaf and dumb" with "deaf" in the description of Helen Keller. [Since posting this, the creator of the test has replaced the word and contacted me asking which word he should use instead of dumb. I replied that simply "deaf" or "hearing impaired" is sufficient. The term dumb in Biblical times meant "mute" but no longer does and these days the deaf are insulted by the term.]

It is very inspiring to put famous people here. It is good for vision impaired children to have role models. This is good for the rest of us to know too.
