Last Sunday was my turn to teach the four and five year-olds the Children's Church lesson. At the end of the lesson I read the story of Noah's arc, which of course ends with the rainbow.
"Oh, I've seen God's promise!" said one of my five-year-olds, he's almost 6 and very smart.
"I've seen a rainbow, too!" said one of the little girls excitedly.
Then one of the four-year-old boys said, just as excitedly, "I seen Jesus in WalMart!"
Then, two other four-year-olds, my nephew being one of them, also claimed to have seen Jesus in WalMart."
"Yeah! He was praying!"
"Yeah! Lookin' up at a rainbow! He was at WalMart!"
Later, I understood how and why they saw Jesus at WalMart. It seems there are framed posters of Jesus on sale there.
